Gas heaters, as the name suggests, are heaters that can heat any area, indoor or outdoor, and they are generally filled with fuels such as natural gas, butane, propane or LPG or liquefied petroleum gas. • The problem with them is that they do not vent out emission gases out as there are no pipes and there is a chance that the gases remain collected in the room.
• Hence, it is necessary that the rooms where you use non-flued gas heaters are well-ventilated.  These heaters are not suitable for bathrooms or bedrooms.

• Look out for both wired and wireless remote controls and choose ones that you prefer.
• A programming timer can help you save energy and you do not have to worry about forgetting to turn the heater off.
• Some models are also equipped with child locks, so if you have a mischievous toddler in your home, then better ask for such gas heaters.
• Check out for filter cleaning, so that you know when and how to clean the filters to keep the gas heaters efficient for a long period.
• Gas heaters with electronic ignition work better because it also means better energy efficiency.
• Some gas heaters have features that allow you to convert from natural gas to LPG but the costs can get more expensive.

Safety precautions about gas heaters
Do regular checking of the gas heaters so that when they turn faulty, there are chances of emission gases getting collected in the room, which can cause serious effects on the occupants’ health.  Put up gas heaters only in well-ventilated rooms. Ensure that seniors and young children in the house do not come in contact with the gas heaters.  Also ensure that inflammable materials are not kept near the heater.
